about NovPAD
In November 2011, I decided to tackle the November Poem-a-Day Challenge hosted by Robert Lee Brewer’s Poetic Asides blog and Writer’s Digest. My hope was to get in the habit of writing poem drafts and then sharing them without worrying about how polished they are. The results show up throughout this blog with NovPAD in the title. (Or you can conveniently find them all here.)
Some self-imposed rules for the challenge:
I will do my best to post something for each prompt.
I will not necessarily post a poem on the same day it was written.
I will embrace minimum editing, letting raw words stand out on their own to be fully revised later. (Meaning if it’s emo and awful, please give me grace.)
I will not beat myself up over this if I miss a day.
